About Us
We’ve been (officially) married since 2000, and we spend most of our free time together. We’re not the same person, though! Read more about us as individuals below. In 2007, we moved from California to Nagoya, Japan. We’re permanent residents of Japan and love it here.
There are many hobbies and things we enjoy, some jointly and some separately. Explore the website to learn more about these.

Rasta
I moved to Japan in 2007 with my parents, making it 13 years (in 2020) and more than half my life now. I graduated highschool before coming to Japan, at the age of 12, and studied online to graduate at 16 for my Bachelor’s Degree in economics. I learned a lot over the course of my college studies, even if a fair amount of it isn’t relevant to my current work. I don’t regret the choice at all, though!
I work primarily as the office manager for Adjustment Guidance, Kisstopher’s (my mother) therapy practice. I also do the transcripts for all of podcasts under The Musick Notes umbrella that are featured on this website (check them out) as well as other behind the scenes stuff.
Moving to Japan when I was 12 was lonely at first, since I didn’t speak Japanese. Being bilingual now, I do many different things in both English and Japanese with my foreign and Japanese friends. Active social life? Check. While life isn’t perfect, I would say it’s pretty great.
